A local government emergency resilience forum, is urging businesses to review their continuity plans in the wake of the Pembroke Chevron refinery blast in which four people died.
Emergency forum helps locals save water - 20th June 2011
A local resilience forum is helping locals save water after the Environment Agency recently confirmed that parts of Bedfordshire are experiencing drought.
The Bedford and Luton Local Resilience Forum are helping locals plan for emergencies by launching a postcard with a QR code, which residents who have Smartphones can scan to instantly access emergency planning advice.
Emergency planning needs to consider pets - 11th May 2011
Local families are being urged to remember to include their pets when drawing up plans to respond to unexpected emergencies, such as severe weather, traffic disruption or power failures.
