Community engagement

Whether you are seeking planning permission for a major new infrastructural project or trying to understand how best to engage people in combating climate change, organisations in both private and public sectors need to understand and listen to their local communities..

And not just because the Government says so! Effective community engagement can add real value to any project, helping you harness goodwill and address potential issues early.

Our approach is always to seek the common ground and to engage communities on the issues that matter to them. This requires intimate understanding of each community and careful planning. And because every community is different there are no quick fixes or one-size-fits-all approaches.

Our work divides into two areas:

Planning consultations - Athene has developed a suite of products and services to help developers engage successfully with local communities to create a meaningful dialogue through which common ground can be identified and mutual gain explored.

Community consultation and behaviour change -working largely with public sector clients to develop and deliver consultation strategies designed to reach out to all members of a community and gauge their views on key issues.
