Teach Peterborough wins ‘Regional Campaign of the Year’

Following our nomination at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards we are thrilled to announce that last night we won the award for ‘Regional Campaign of the Year’ in the Anglia, Thames and Chiltern region, with our Teach Peterborough campaign. The CIPR PRide Awards identify the outstanding work of PR consultancies across the UK, and we’re delighted that we’ve been recognised for this award.

Teach Peterborough aims to tackle a key problem within education in Peterborough. In order to recruit new members of staff it was costing schools an average of £3,000 per a vacancy, which throughout this last year would have cost the 67 individual local authority schools a total of £1,155,000.00. However, by creating the Teach Peterborough recruitment portal in conjunction with Peterborough City Council and Speed Agency, Athene Communications was able to create a ‘one stop shop’ for prospective teachers which showcase all the current teaching vacancies, training opportunities and information about the area.

Peterborough City Council has described the campaign as “innovative and exactly what was needed,” commending Athene Communications for its “understanding of the brief and high quality output.”

Richard Astle, Managing Director of Athene Communications, commented: “Teach Peterborough has become an essential tool to support the education sector in Peterborough and we are extremely proud to have won Regional Campaign of the Year. It is a great achievement for the team and demonstrates the quality of our work and the service we provide to our clients!”
