Launching Peterborough United’s ABAX Stadium
Athene Communications used its PR and marketing expertise to help Norwegian-owned vehicle technology company ABAX to raise its profile in the UK.
Having opened a UK office in Peterborough in 2012, ABAX was keen to strengthen ties with the local community and announced a five-year sponsorship deal with Peterborough United, bringing about the stadium’s first name change in the club’s history.
Athene worked with designers to create new branding and signage for the ABAX Stadium, and organised a very well received match day launch event for a game broadcast live on Sky Sports. One of the Athene team even dressed up as the new ABAX Stadium mascot Alviss for the evening, demonstrating Athene’s commitment to going the extra mile for its clients!
We then switched our attention to generating media coverage in the regional and trade press, with more than 25 pieces of positive coverage in titles such as Fleet News and Business Car Manager over five months.
